Let me paint a picture for you. It's Friday night we are at home, it's been a long week with work, school, kids etcetera. No one feels like cooking, as a family we decide pizza is the way to go tonight. Now we are new to the area so we jump on door dash to have a look to see what's around. We land on "Amalfi" less then 1km away can't go wrong with that. On to Google they have a website ya boy does some digging before he comits to food. Then you see they have an app, you download it log in with 1 click via google, everything is going so right. Start the ordering process, now we are a family of 6 so we order 2 meal deals to cover all bases they throw in a promo for a free small pizza just to make sure we all go to bed with full tummys tonight option to pay $7.5 for delivery yes sir i will thank you very much. Order is placed estimated time of arrival 7:55pm beautiful the wait is on..... 8:00pm rolls around kids are hungry, mums asking where our food is, daddy calm as always (I'm daddy by the way) says "don't stress it'll be here soon" my phone rings! "Hi it (name redacted) from Amalfi I am so sorry about the wait we will be there in 10 minutes" I say " no worries mate thanks for letting me know really appreciate it" I hang up left feeling like I've gotten some answers and that I'm getting the quality customer service of a bygone era. 8:10 pizza arrives silence strikes kids are salivating smells exquisite I grab a slice pepperoni can't go wrong first bite DAMN I'm happy with it kids, so much I then proceed to inhale it harder the my blueberry mint alibarbar. Next we go to the lot no olives because that's how we do in this family stop judging, Again I'm impressed the flavours melt together hitting all the right spots, on to the Aussie the little freebie now usually I'm not about this kind of pizza but the misso likes it so we get it and it goes down a treat they have turned me into an aussie pizza kind of guy, next up we try the BBQ chicken a classic of the house hold we get no capsicum and add on some cheeky pinapple I know I know stop judging us, and again just phenomenal, from here I try out a bit of the fettuccine pollo funghi and sneaky bit of garlic bread flavours are all right were they needed to be again sensational. On to the finale a little something that caught my eye on the menu, none other then the chicken pesto pizza i don't know where to start with this one but I'll give it a red hot crack! The smell was something that would float a cartoon character off of the ground and through a window, first bite a sole tear streams down my face I'm in shock I can't believe what's happening to my body time slows down, second bite now I'm not a religious man but I've drifted to heaven and I'm sure of it, third bite I've taken a detour through Valhalla to dine with Odin the all father himself we bang our heads together and I float off to my fourth bite which sends me to Olympus in to the arms of Zeus he caresses me ever so gently I ask him if this is real he winks doesn't say a word brings forth a lightning bolt gestures for me to grab hold of it and throws me back into my body to finish the job at hand. I finish after what felt like an eternity left sitting in my own filth feeling completely satisfied. Climax, there's a whole pizza left every one is full the kids all say "this is the best pizza i have ever had" I say "is this what pizza is supposed to taste like" we are all in shock even as I type this i don't know what's real anymore I think I may be stuck inside a simulation. Long story short great service. Great pizza. Definitely recommend. 4 large pizzas 1 small pizza for free 2 garlic breads and 2 1.25l drinks delivered for $109 that seems about right these days.
